Ok great, you want to present at HiveFest. Depending on your suggested presentation topic, let's try to make it happen!
About picking a subject of your presentation/panel
Many attendees of HiveFest know the Hive blockchain, but you cannot count on it. It's recommended to have your presentations be entertaining and diverging for the attendees to ensure they (and you) get the most out of it. Make a lasting impression. Plain promotional advertorials are no fun. If you want to touch on your products & services, make it relevant to the attendees. Relate, make it interesting. Try to interact with the crowd, ask questions or count hands.
- Presentations would be 15-20 minute slots this year, depending on what subject you want to dive. The program is open to panel discussions also.
- There is a separate "State-of-the-Apps"-section which is for apps/project updates and is more pitch-like brief.
Take a breath, have 10 minutes and undertake the following steps now:
1. Get yourself ready for HiveFest in:
- Get a ticket for HiveFest (everyone pays their fair share, also if you present)
2. Submit the following data to hivefest+presentations@gmail.com ASAP:
- A mugshot we can place on the HiveFe.st website
- Your Hive username
- A one line bio introducing you (see examples in this speaker's section from back in the days)
- The subject and brief introduction of your presentation/panel.
That's it. Mailed the data?
Then take one last moment to read the following article:
- "Presenting on HiveFest, what are my options?" - which introduces you to necessary slide design & formatting, optional use of multimedia and available crowd interactions.
