HiveFest — originally known as SteemFest — was rebranded following the community-led hard fork from the Steem blockchain to Hive on March 20, 2020. Since 2016, HiveFest has been the flagship annual gathering of the Hive community, growing alongside the ecosystem while maintaining its edition count and spirit, even as the name evolved.

Each edition brings Hivers together from across the globe — in real cities or virtual worlds — to connect, share ideas, and celebrate the power of decentralized collaboration.
